But, I just felt like I should actually ask, you know? I kinda of have just been assuming.
are you okay in general with me calling you 'dad' or like some variation? Or do you prefer just 'uncle'. I kind of flip between either when I talk about your or Norman.
I don't know what the future has in store for us, but, I care about you, and I just... want to know.
< Octavius >
Of course I'm alright with it. If that's how you feel, I can only be thankful for it. You're a very bright, caring boy, so I would be proud to be your father, no matter what happens.
<P.B.P>
Thank you.
< Octavius >
It was good of you to ask, though. Now we both know where we stand. If you ever need something from me, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm sure Norman feels the same way.
<P.B.P>
You guys matter a lot to me, even with how we all met in the first place. We're all kind of the same but different people in a lot of ways.
< Octavius >
I do see a lot of my younger self in you. All the more reason to try and keep you out of trouble. 8)
<P.B.P>
I'll take that as a compliment, lol. Though we both know trouble finds us regardless of what we're doing.
< Octavius >
It IS a compliment. Just look at how well I turned out.
<P.B.P>
We'll take the fact you don't jump off buildings doing backflips as a sign you're doing better than I am so far. Hopefully I'll reach your level one day.
< Octavius >
Oh, that's hardly my own choice, I'm afraid. I think that if I were to attempt a backflip, I'd be out of commission for a month or two. That is, unless the fog heals things like lumbago.
<P.B.P>
I mean, I could probably teach you how to do a safe backflip? Or at least a handstand? Those feel easy to me anyway.
< Octavius >
Oh, no, that's quite alright. I've got my own tricks up my sleeve now. One day, I'll dive off a high building to land in a lake or a pool. Or I would, if I weren't trying to set the right example.

I'd do a rooftop pool, but not the same.
< Octavius >
Rooftop pool is not even close. How am I meant to do the ultimate cannonball in that?
<P.B.P>
If there was a really comically large diving board over the pool, I feel like that could even out.
