I told you that I believed this problem would resolve soon. It should be obvious by now why that was...though I suppose there was no guarantee Elias would be happy enough with me for that. I am still writing this from a laptop. However, it seems that food has become unnecessary. I was unaware this was something that could happen before he called one a priest, given that my best examples of a timeline were both already priests when I met them.

I see... He rewarded you for your attempt to feed the Fog a taste of her own medicine, is that so?

Even though it failed to restrain her for too long, it should at least have taught her a lesson to remember for ages to come. That counts for something, if you ask me.

Even with reinforcements to my design, I did not have hopes for a longterm containment. In truth, it performed far better than I expected, even with the unusual side effects.

I do not believe the discomfort to be enough to make her consider the concept of consent...rather, the acceptance that she is flawed in knowing what is best for so many. However, it would be a kindness to those that struggle with monsterhood if she did.

It's alright. The less people you told about this, the slimmer the chances that your plan might've been leaked to one of the Fog's followers before you were ready to set it in motion.

Even so, I hope you know that I would have helped you, had you told me about your plan beforehand. That offer stands for the future, too. For your sake, and for Elias, should it come to that.

I appreciate that, Sir. Making a body like that was something I was familiar with, but the research was harder to collect as a Slime and Shade than I would have liked.

A doctor like you should be used to that, though. It would have been really useful.

[Otto's mostly thinking about Fog followers like Javert, at this point. It's extremely clear what that man's stance is regarding the plan. And Harry Dubois is something of an unpredictable wildcard, so Otto doesn't trust him either.]

I'm a doctor of physics, not a doctor of the human body, but it's true that I'm quite used to hitting the books and compiling the research into comprehensive notes. Sometimes I even do it for fun. 8)

So yes. Should you have need of something like that in the future, don't hesitate to ask.

I am good at math. Though I did not formally progress past middle school, I could deal with problems well above my peers' level.

That's already a good sign, I should say. Imagine how far you might go with more education, then. And a mathematically-inclined mind tends to do well in Physics class too.
