[All in all, this is more carefully thought-out than he feared. He should probably worry less, huh?]
Alright, I think I get the idea.

Even if he seems against it at the moment, I'd like for him to interact with the world in a more... human way. The shape of the drone and the fact that it's remote control would complicate things, but it needn't be impossible. The drone could still play games with Reira and other children, for example. It's just a matter of adding the proper attachments later.

[Marco purses his lips. He's just guessing, but Otto isn't the first to voice a sentiment to that effect.]
I can't discount the possibility. I imagine he's so unused to it he doesn't even feel the need for that sort of interaction...
[But maybe that's the problem. He can see the logic. Then again, it isn't as if Elias is completely shut off from the world either, is it...?]

[Otto would add that they don't have anything to lose, but he's not that naive. Things can always go wrong in the most unexpected of ways. He'll take that gamble.]

[He's sure Otto is aware of what he's about to say, of course, but maybe it still bears mentioning.]
I'm not much of an engineer. Certainly not... I don't... [He sighs.] Fiddleford was the genius in that regard, not me. Software is where I'm more comfortable. Coding.
[So, if he's going to help, what exactly can he do that Otto can't?]

That's alright. There may come a time where coding will be necessary. Or, at the very least, enough knowledge of software to be certain the drone matches up with the Fourth's own interface. It's true that Elias seems capable of influencing most technology, but I'd like to make this as smooth and accessible for him as possible. [He pauses for a few seconds, then adds:] With, ah, some safeguards. To keep him from takings things too far.
no subject
Of course. I hope that he wouldn't, but... of course.
[There is, as they've discussed, so much that could go wrong - but Marco still wants to believe Elias himself wouldn't be the problem.
Felfri wasn't him. It wasn't really him.]

There's never any harm in planning for multiple outcomes. But it's those safeguards which might work best from a software perspective. Once the hardware is taken over by Elias's influence, one would be hard-pressed to initiate a safeguard measure from there.
