Oh no, that won't be enough, I'm afraid. People coming up to you will have questions about how you made them, how long it took, what kind of materials you used... Things like that.

Oh, I hadn't even really thought about that.

I guess it won't be bad to explain how I made stuff? I mean, its a lot less technical than trying to explain building computers. I used to try and explain that to May or Ben, both of them just kind of nodded along with this look on their face. Like, not a bad look, but... kind of unsure what I was talking about.

I'm sure the stuffed animal explanations will go a lot smoother. Most who visit fairs like this are already in the hobby themselves, so they'll have their own experiences to compare to.

But if you ever want to talk about computers, you can try me. My universe wasn't as technologically advanced as yours, but I do know my basics.

I was thinking about trying to build one here, but, I gotta make time for that and see what parts would even work? Maybe I could take apart one of the laptops and see if I can change it around.

If it's parts you need, I may be able to get permission from Liewen Labs to take a few spares. I'm sure Noa will understand if I explain it's to help an up-and-coming computer talent expand his skills.

I'd really like if you could. If not, I get it, since Liewen Labs kind of made all the computers we're using. Wouldn't surprise me if they were kind of iffy about someone having extra parts.

Oh no, I doubt that's a concern. In the technical sense, anyone could disassemble a laptop and then report to Liewen Labs to get a new one for free. This is simply cutting out the effort, so to speak.

I appreciate that, since, I know actually finding parts is gonna be impossible the way I used to do it. Dumpster diving won't yield a lot of what I need.

You'd have to be very lucky to find computer parts in a dumpster around here, it's true. Don't worry, I'll get you something good. What are you in the market for?

I think the only real time it happens is when people get mad over a network post and just kind of throw a whole computer away in a fit of rage, or like explode their computer a little bit. People in Hill House generally don't have that happen super often as far as I know.
