Land form: His typical form comes across as pretty human, as he doesn't have too many scales on him. The fact that he's a merperson is mostly visible from the ear fins and his webbed hands. He's also got the gills on the sides of his neck, which will be exposed just above the collar of whatever shirt he's wearing. When he speaks, sharp pointy teeth will be visible. The fins on his arms and legs will likely be hidden beneath clothing.
Aquatic form: When hit with water, his clothes instantly disappear and the tentacles are unleashed. My god, so much tentacle. Six of 'em. Still no scales on the upper half of his body, though. Even after drying, it still takes a minute or two before he returns to land form.
Full list of changes:
Physical changes:
✓ - Gills on the side of his neck
✓ - Fins by the ears, on his lower arms and on his lower legs
✓ - Very light layer of scales on the arms and legs, near the fins
✓ - Fingers are longer and more slender, with webbing in-between. Same goes for his toes
✓ - Sharp, pointy teeth, like a shark
✓ - Aquatic form!
✓ - A need to feed on human energy. (The Merperson accomplishes this by holding a human underwater until they drown)
✓ - Optional Fourth God body mod: Bioluminescent spots, the size of tiny pinpricks, dotting the skin along the sides of Otto's spine.
Abilities:
✓ - Travel form: the ability to take the form of the aquatic creature the Merperson's monster form is based on. In this form, Otto will look like a normal octopus and will be able to travel faster in water. However, he will not have access to any of his powers in this form, and will also be more vulnerable
✓ - Sharpened senses, especially underwater
✓ - Resistance to water pressure
✓ - An immunity to cold
✓ - Venomous spines on his fins that can cause pain and paralysis in humans. (And fellow monsters, upon agreement with the player in question)
Additional traits/notes:
✓ - A need for water
✓ - Preference for cold weather
✓ - An instinct to hoard any sort of gem or other shiny trinket underwater, and to act extremely aggressively towards thieves
Mood Ring Camouflage: His tentacles and webbing also include chromatophores; thousands of color-changing cells under the skin that can change colors almost instantly. This means that while Otto's standard mer color is a pleasant light blue, those aspects will turn a vivid red when he suffers from certain mood swings. The parts of his body affected are his fins and the webbing between his fingers. If he's in his underwater form, the entirety of that tentacle situation he's got going on will change color to match.

FAERIE, MID-JULY - START OF NOVEMBER 2022
Art by
Note: He usually wears clothing over this!
Full list of changes:
Physical changes:
✓ - Insect-like wings inspired by dragonflies.
✓ - Antennae on his head which can be used to sense nearby vibrations and keep balance during flight. (probably smaller, more discreet)
✓ - Pointed ears.
✓ - Hardened, carapace-like skin along his abdomen, legs and lower arms.
✓ - Eyes in a light blue pastel shade. (Tiefling style, all sclera no pupil)
✓ - FLUFFY hair the same color as the eyes. My god, so fluffy. Like fluffy moths.
✓ - Thin, translucent claw-like fingernails.
✓ - A need to feed on human energy. The Faerie accomplishes this by luring a human into one of their Faerie rings, at which point they are able to sap them of their energy.
Abilities:
✓ - The ability to shrink in size, down to as small as one inch tall. They will be more vulnerable the smaller they get, but also much faster and nearly impossible to actually catch.
✓ - The ability to create Faerie rings (small circles of mushrooms on the ground) that can transport themselves and others to the location of another Faerie ring. Each Faerie can only have up to three Faerie rings active at once, and the Faerie who made the ring must be present in order to use them.
✓ - The ability to temporarily hypnotize humans, although the hypnosis will have to be broken before they can drain them of their energy.
Additional traits/notes:
✓ - An aversion to lying. Faeries have a difficult time telling lies, even though many of them are skilled at twisting the truth. While a faerie can lie, they’ll hate themselves so much that it will cause extreme pain and symptoms not limited to but including fever, chills, and nausea. The lie will often be followed be several truths to try and fix the situation.
