Residence / Workshop | Songerein

Otto's commandeered a lovely abandoned riverside warehouse in Songerein to work and live in. It's the most secluded warehouse of the bunch and is surrounded by signs to deter trespassers.

Inside

The warehouse is medium-sized compared to others and, on first glance, mostly empty. It's been cleaned and the roof has been patched up, but not all broken windows have been replaced yet. There's actually a basement area that Otto uses to store most of his materials. The entrance stairwell is hidden beneath a heavy metal place that he can lift with his mechanical limbs. This way, he can be relatively sure his hard-earned (stolen) materials won't be taken by someone else when he's not around.

Update May 14th: As a result of the nuclear reactor plot, the warehouse suffered severe damage. Steel girders and crossbeams are bent out of shape, some of them broken. Metal plating has been torn straight off the walls. Walkways for the second floor are somewhat bent out of shape as well, but can still be traverse to reach the office. The entire back wall of the building collapsed as a result of a load-bearing girder being sucked into the reactor, opening up a nice view of the river just behind the warehouse.

Also as a result of the reactor plot, the stairwell to the basement is now open. Careful, though! With all the damage done to the area, it's a real dusty mess down there and cave-ins are a possibility unless someone works to patch the place back up.

The main hallway still has some leftovers of Rob's boobytraps lying around. A dropped anvil, a pit in the floor, some torn burlap bags... One of them still dangles from the ceiling. What is inside, you ask? It's coffee! Not the beans; actual liquid coffee. Quirky!

'Digging Through the Rubble' Quest: Those doing quest 601 from the June Dreamboard may be able to collect the following:
- Spare scraps of metal, mostly small plates, poles and bars. Typical leftovers from construction, basically.
- Assorted machine parts like knobs, lightbulbs, wiring... Otto deconstructed a lot of local technology to recycle.
- Tools like hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
- A couple of crystals, also taken from local technology.
- A mysterious bag of chestnuts stashed away in a corner. Careful, these will explode into fireworks when roasted. (Otto's had these lying around since January)
- Burlap sacks.
- Some large empty casks and big metal milk containers.
- Probably the best prize of all: a functional welding setup. It can be taken with some effort. Otto's safety goggles are buried somewhere in the rubble, so please use this thing responsibly and secure your own goggles before putting it to use!

Careful, though! As a result of Rob's traps, there are also some explosives lying around and they may still go off when disturbed. Some of them are 'normal' explosives, others have dreamotion effects. Contact Rob's player for more info and a fun randomized effect!

Office

The office doubles as his bedroom, sort of. He awkwardly sleeps on the floor in the middle of the room, so his tentacles have enough space to, y'know, exist. The desk holds a few blueprints of his solar reactor, which he had to recreate from memory after arriving in Songerein.
